The Ready Resource for Relief Society and Melchizedek Priesthood: 2019 Curriculum
SO many big changes in Church curriculum lately. Have you been holding on tight? Home Church? What? Tell me more!
Not gonna lie. All the changes are exciting but can also be a little intimidating. The Lord is expecting a lot. He expects us to prepare the youth for things we can't even see. It's humbling. That's why I was super excited to get my hands on a copy of Trina Boice's The Ready Resource for Relief Society and Melchizedek Priesthood: 2019 Curriculum. Cool, right? But don't be jelly*. You can get a copy here.

THIS FIRST-STOP LESSON PLANNER provides 25 possible topics that are likely to come up throughout the year to make your preparation easier and faster. With lesson summaries, relevant hymns, object lessons, and more, now you can take the stress out of preparing lessons and focus on inviting the Spirit and tailoring the message to the needs of others.
The Ready Resource is filled with ideas, suggestions, and references to Church and gospel inspired materials that can help you prepare lessons in the coming year. This resource is not intended to replace any of the curriculum but to compliment the principles and doctrines that we need to teach.
As I thumbed through the book, it looked so handy, and as I delved deeper into it, I loved the suggestions for object lessons and the quotes from our leaders. Lesson titles include: Personal Revelation, Creating Sanctuaries of Faith, Helping God's Children, and Using Technology to Do More Good. The included ideas would add a little oomph to any lesson.
If you could use a manual like this to save your bacon sometimes, check this one out. You can read more about Trina Boice and some of her similar books here.
