Back to Books Blog Hop
We always start the summer so good. So well-intentioned. So optimistic.
And then we just...stop.
I'm talking abouut reading books here people, and with a 1st grader and a 3rd grader at our house this year, we are definitley getting back to the books this fall. "I mean it, go get your book and sit down and read." (See? I make it fun for them.) It's such a critical time for them to be reading. I just can't, in good conscience, let this time slide by, though with busy evenings of homework and friends and piano (yes, my children WILL learn to play the piano) and dinner, and occasionally baths, it slides by much more than I would like, and we neglect reading in all the chaos.
And it's not just the kids that need to get back to the books. I have a ginormous to-read stack that I meant to get to over the summer. How do these things get away from me?
