That's what it's all about

I think the hokey pokey had it wrong.

I actually do think there's a little more to it than putting your right foot in and out. I mean, sure, you gotta dance the dance and walk the talk you talk, sometimes you might have to sing someone else's tune because they write your paycheck, and, especially when you're in traffic, life really does seem like a rat race. But that's just the cynic's view. And I know you all think I'm cynical, but it's not really true. I'm cynical like Pip was sad; that dog only looked sad.

Yesterday I watched from my window as Kammi walked around our circle in the hot summer vacation sun holding her little best friend's hand. They love each other. To have found friendship at such a young age is so special. Having grown up with two of the best friends the world could ever offer and seeing others without that gift, I know what a blessing it can be. For her to have that, I felt blessed beyond belief.

Last night Dave was topping off the fluids in the car and Zach got right in there and wanted Dave to let him help. I also felt blessed beyond belief watching my kid hold the flashlight while his dad taught him about cars.
A couple nights ago, Zach and Kammi loaded up the dishwasher for me. I can't believe my kids are old enough to load the dishwasher. I mean, they've been doing chores for a while, folding washclothes, cleaning the sinks and tubs, watering plants, feeding the animals, etc. But loading the dishwasher? I think I've died and gone to heaven.
Anyway, I think what I am trying to say is: Family, isn't it about time? No wait, that's taken. Um...That's what it's all about. No no, also taken. Well...no matter. We don't need a moral to the story today.

I do agree with everything you said. I hope you are doing well. We should all really get together sometime soon.

Amidst all the craziness of life I'm glad that the Lord in His mercy let's us see the sweetness. Thanks for sharing - made me cry - actually I've spent most of the day crying my makeup off as I looked through the pictures of Mark and his family - so lonesome it hurts my heart. But, I'm glad they are happy and that you are so blessed and happy as well.

I love it. It is truly the tender mercies of the Lord that allow us to view these sweet little moments that would otherwise just be some more minutes in a day. Thank you for sharing them.

I'm glad you love your life. Thanks for being my girl soulmate. It's meant everything to me too.

Tonight Alyssa ran out the door after her cousin Alayna who is her same age, and said..."Just remember I love you! We'll together in heaven one day!"
So true, I love moments like that. I can remember looking out my window when we lived in Utah and seeing Mark with the boys mowing the lawn or in the garden. Now he is helping them fish or use the chain saw. It's the everyday stuff that really matters.
