Thanks Dave

Thanks, Dave, for fixing the brakes on Green. Sure, it took a little longer than expected, and sure I had my doubts, but only a few. I knew it would all turn out in the end. I love driving that car with brakes because when I press on the brake pedal, the car slows to a stop. It's nice. And I really appreciate your willingness to do it. And I'm glad that you took the time to learn to do it all those years ago at Saturn, where incidentally, I think those same brakes were the cause of an in-garage car crash that smashed Green's door. If I'm not mistaken. Also, I think it's cute how the kids call the car "Green". And I was really good at pressing the brake pedal down to bleed the brakes, right?

Know what else I am good at? Making tamales. That's right. Yesterday I made up a batch. It was actually a quarter of a batch; it yielded (yeld?) about fourty tamales. My hands still smell like corn flour, but it was worth it. I could probably eat all fourty tamales myself, but I won't. I wanted to take pictures for the blog, but my hands were too busy. My cost was maybe seven dollars for all the supplies, and I only used half of them. If you buy tamales you must pay at least a dollar apiece, usually more. So you see, even though I have to pay a king's ransom to get down the road in Green (when I'm not stopping in Green, that is), I have beaten the tamale system at its own game.

thanks for the tamales and for being my sweetheart and not Marty's. Thanks for helping with the brakes and mentioning the fact that I smashed green up all those years ago on the internet.

I've never made tamales. Are they hard to do? They sound yummy! I'll have to have you teach me one of these days, if you don't mind. Would my girls like them? (Doesn't matter, as long as I do...!)

OH my gosh. Thanks so much for the tamales, they are delicious. I didn't really want to share them with Josh, but the things we do for the one we love. You need to teach me how to make those.
